Having that one extra strut and screw would make it a much studier device
that could handle more than a few falls. Or if they used a 1/4" jack with
metal thread that too would hold up to a lot of abuse.

Before I bought my first HoneyTone I looked at mini amps on the market,
asked around, Smokey Mini Amp was among them, but settled on the HoneyTone.
This year when I went to buy a replacement after dropping the first one,
I found there are more mini amps on the market than last time. Weighing up
all the options, after a week of mulling decided the HoneyTone was what I
wanted.

The HoneyTone has a headphone jack, but its not a line out like the Smokey
Amp, however its a relatively simple operation to install a line out jack
into the HoneyTone.

I use a Harp Commander and reverb pedal directly into a PA. I have owned
three different tube amps Soldano 100W, Fender Super 60, Crate VC508, at
various times. Out of them the Super 60 was tonally the best, but these
days I have to keep things light and portable and since any of those amps
needed to be mic'd I may as well use the HC. The only amps I own now are
two HoneyTones. :)

I got to play with a Vox AC5 at a private party some years back, using a CR
element GB, it had great tone.
